The vagina is made up of different parts. The vulva is the outer area that can visibly be seen on the outside of the female body. The vulva is considered an external part of the female body. The labia minora are often called the inner lips. These two flaps of skin are on either side of the vaginal opening. The labia majora are the larger folds of skin on either side. These are visible also and are sometimes called "the lips" of the vagina.The labia majora, or lips, are unique in their appearance, size, shape and color as the person that they belong to. The color of the lips of the vagina usually coincide with the skin color of that particular female.
