Permission to be official welcoming committee member

Okay, I have been working on a welcome message for days now to send as a reply when new members join. I would like to be granted official status perhaps as a special title under my user name.

We have a welcome fourm, and i think its a great idea if you where the offical welcome member in it, with a cool green name.

If it's truly a welcome forum then why was I allowed to post my first thread here and then be welcomed? The rules need to be better stated and administered. I could help with that too!
