Why? If you don’t pay property taxes for 3 years I don’t see how it’s wrong for the govt to auction off your property to pay off your debt. They give you any remaining balance over and above the debt. Otherwise if you don’t pay taxes you’re leeching off everyone else.

Why isn’t it? You literally only get to that point after multiple years of notice. If you are in danger of losing your house, you can sell it and pay off the delinquent taxes.

If you think about it you get a ton of services for your property taxes. Police, fire, ambulance, roads, community development services, jails, elections, court system, schools, libraries, trash pickup, cemeteries, parksetc... People pay like 250 a month just to have internet, cable, and cellphone.

If you live a council manager city than the mayor probably makes less than 30k a year for that job. City manager has similar duties to a school superintendent and I bet if they worked in a similar private sector role they’d be paid 3x as much.

Also what is your issue about personal appearance. Who cares they are obese? Instead of fitness they focused their abilities into public administration/business. Not saying it’s cool to be obese but I don’t think it should be criticized. Especially by someone who defends super shitty people on here from criticism.
