ryan, have you ever had racial profiling of illegal mexicans, ay rabs or pakis in your arizona costco?

VeritechRyan

i wouldnt say theres profiling. I mean, i see a lot of mexicans who dont speak a word of english but get upset when i dont speak any spanish back. i dont see many arabs at my store either.

has anyone been denied service or anything like that because of that illegal mexican profiling law in arizona?

apparently aber was denied service at a utah DMV office because they thought she was an illegal mexican
hahaha

im sure people HAVE at other places. if you give me a costco card and it looks like you on the picture, i will ring you up.
the only time i deny service is when some guy comes in, sneaks past the loafing old person at the front door, then wants to buy something with no card.

i remember the biggest item(s) i ever broke.

one morning I stocked a entire pallet of A-1 steak sauce. first week stocking merchandise. I didn't put any cardboard sheets between the layers to give it stability, i'd never stocked stuff before.

a forklift drove past it 10 minutes before we opened. About 250 glass bottles of A-1 scattered everywhere. sauce on everything. It took me over an hour to clean it.

we had a new hire and our store manager gave him a large cardboard box, a bag of ziplock bags and a large black marker

he told him that the EPA was going to be doing a air quality test in our store tomorrow, and we had to get the air samples ready.

I wanted this kid run down aisles at nearly full speed, get the ziplocks full of air, seal them, write the aisle number on the bag, then move on to the next aisle.

another big item i broke was we were moving the entire liquor section from one aisle to another. as i moved the pallet with the jack, i forgot to lay a bottle down. when i lowered the pallet, the bottle flew off the back side and broke.

it was a bottle of Dom Perignom. (however you spell it)
price at the time, $135.99

yeah, there are a bunch. one about 10 minutes from me.
its neat to go there, but theres not a lot i buy there.

interesting (to me) fact: Gordon Biersch makes beer for Costco AND Trader Joe's
