a) ruby is no longer deleting spam threads one by one by hand
b) someone has provided him with a more efficient tool
c) this tool uses pattern recognition

all new spam threads will be completely randomized. viva le revolution.

I'm assuming he has a way to match them by thread title. If he's using usernames, that's more difficult to get around, and being as lazy as I am I'm going to try this first.

i'm thinking about how I'd do it, filter by username and since a certain date.
