Well he's off drugs (mostly aside from the odd pill here or there) he starts his job today and he has already saved up nearly $1,000 just from saving the money to come fuck me and not taking every drug under the sun

I mean that was like nearly 20 years ago though don't know what the situation is now... also because I was young and my parents actually had money I had to go through all this shit with shrinks and everything to prove I was independent and that living with my parents was not actually an option.... So I ended up (I was literally still in school mind you) on something called an independent living away from home allowance or something like that... Which was fuck all, and when I got a flat I had to manage it all somehow and beat up creepy old men

A point is though I pulled my finger out when I had to and worked my ass off

Stevey is going to have to pull up socks, pull his finger out and actually do the hard yards and work to get out of this

That may include work, it may include study (you will find there is support for students, not much but there is certain support you can only get by being a student) or it may just simply be organsing himself better, accessing the various help available to him on disabilty and getting himself a place he can manage... He could also go live in a half way house with a bunch of people he hates like a lot of people less priveledged than dp have to do at various points in their life.

Either way, he has income for food, a van to sleep in and he could manage a powered site on his disability, he has all the online resources at his fingertips, this means he doesn't have to wait for snail mail or for people to actually be home while he calls them at a pay phone and all in all he is in a better position than I started out in. He can do this, he just needs to pull his finger out and actually do it.
