i dreamt for a long time about birds

first my scottie dog that died 12 years ago had managed to jump 5 feet off the ground into the birdfeeder and was eating up all the wild bird seeds and next thing i knew there were all these beautiful orange birds with huge feathers all over the patio eating the spilled seeds and i was outside on the patio stairs smoking and they wouldnt fly away they would come right up to my feet to eat seeds. i wanted the birds really bad so i put my hand out ever so slowly and the closest ones made like a little hop backward then slowly came back to me and first they were biting my fingers but one let me scratch it's back and he liked it enough to let me pick him up in my hand and cuddle him with my face and then the birds were all bouncing around on my back and shoulders and leaving orange feathers all over the patio and thats all i remember
