I'm working, one client needs a new router with a pptp server that supports more than 5 connections, another is locked out of her itunes account, another needs keepass set up and synced to our credentials server, another one can't get email on his phone because the imap server is fucked. easy stuff but I'm going to milk it.

Got dispatched to my boss when I was doing the dell onsite tech job for $13 an hour and he had an under-warranty dell break on him. while I was replacing his motherboard we bullshitted about computers, he knows more about windows than me but I know some mac and linux and he knows nothing about either of them. He took my number down, and a couple of months later he aquired a new client who is exclusively mac and he called and offered me a position as his 4th employee. he pays me way more than I'm worth and I'm fine with that.

So far I've set up 3 clients with debian kvm servers that only I know how to manage so I've got job security too

the only downside is he expects me to work on this fucking cisco router, 792 or some shit like that. "Oh you use linux so ios should be no problem they're pretty much the same thing"

Why would you not want to do that at the same time?

smoking a blunt right now and ignoring an email from my boss
-
-

I smoke one blunt a week usually it's joints I can't be bothered with pipes
-
02-11-2012
Its so much faster, you can get a good taste for the herb as well.
-
02-11-2012
it's not faster it's one more thing I have to keep track of and keep lighting every time I take a rip. it's an inconvenience compared to just having a pack of papers in the car and near every chair. If I'm pulled over while smoking a pipe, I can't just put it out and swallow it real quick. I disagree about the taste, too. Even glass pipes don't compare to the taste of a joint the only thing that comes close is a vape

Hmm, Well yes I would never take a piece out of my house lol. I've never been a fan of driving around and baking I mean its fun but I just feel like its unwanted attention on yourself and you're just asking to get arrested. And I assume so, lighting it every time I want to hit is fine, I smoke one bowl and i'll be good for few hours. But people are people, we all like different shit.
-

I can't conceive of a world where I do not smoke a joint while driving home from work but keep in mind I am usually driving home from work at 3am
-
02-11-2012
Well that's fine then. I though you worked out of your home.
-
02-11-2012
I work from home as much as I can, but even I can't physically reboot shit or jiggle cables 40 miles away from my recliner. What I need is a robot.
