What's the hackest thing I've made on my first computer? When I was 12 I decided to open Windows 98 folder and explore full of hidden archives and I found Quicktime extension, then I opened and started quicktime player test, I watched this video quicktime demostration and it blew my mind.

I wrote a qbasic script that played a siren sound through the pc speaker and put it on the autoexec,bat of the 12 or 14 386's in my class. there was no shutdown procedure with dos, so they had a master circvuit breaker that would power on or power off all the machines simultaneously

also back then something simple like setting a screensaver password was enough to blow peoples minds
