A kid got his shoelace stuck in the escalator today.

All of the security guys went running, and I heard customers yelling about something outside the store. Later, on break, I asked my friend Andy the maintenance guy what happened. He said some little kid's shoe was untied and got caught in the escalator, and his mom freaked out like any mom would. Then somebody hit the stop button and they were able to get the kid's shoe out of there. The escalator was still out of order when my shift was over, although as the immortal Mitch Hedburg said, an escalator isn't really out of order it's just temprarily stairs lol.

I was in a similar situation where the kid died, because I shot him

Update: The mom got a lawyer. The mall paid her off with "mall bucks" she can use in any store. She was happy, fired the lawyer, spent most of it at Bed Bath and Beyond. The guy in charge of escalator maintenance got fired. The rest of the custodial and operations employees had to sit through a Powerpoint about safety from some middle manager type corporate sent over.

Will they let you have a companion dog because you have assburgers?
