hey yall. how is this place doing? i was reading online and i think there might be a .art top level domain soon. wouldn't it be cool to create websites using a .art domain? think about the possibilities. http://fjs.art would be a great example. Other than that I'm going to browse some threads for a little while.. hope to hear back from you soon.

i have been considering getting a .xxx domain but the price is far too steep right now at like $79 a year. 101domains had a special two months ago that brought it down to $50 , but i mean, still too much imo.
the best .art names i can think of are: http://f.art and http://upst.art (upstart could be like a site simliar to kickstarter however since it is a domain hack you can rest assured mindless internetters will flock to it)
as far as I know you can't get less than 3 characters, so f.art is out but you could go with girlsdontf.art or something
marks, the .art TLD is still being conjured up by a group called e-flux and is proposing the .art domain to ICANN in the near future.. there may or may not be restrictions to how few characters you could get. i remember reading about a-z 1 digit domains being bought up by icann when .com was launched, and later sold some of them to different countries willing to pray a huge premium (nissan had z.com and paypal got x.com) .. anyway who gives a fuck .art is going to be so stupid.
I didn't realize icann bought all the 1 and 2 letter .coms I thought it was just a restriction. anyway I wouldn't say it's stupid but it's certainly going to confuse most of the idiots I have to support so it'll make my job more difficult

I think the government has learned not to fuck with the porn sites, they're basically the whole internet economy even today. I think getting a .xxx domain like fuck.xxx is going to be considered a prestige thing and it's going to be a huge war between these companies to grab them, I'm pretty excited about it I love internet drama.
