its an optional boss like the ancient dragon
if you dont have 5 giant souls in your inventory, the king is the hardest boss in the game...
if you have 0 giant souls in your inventory, he is practically invincible

Go to the back of his room, find his armor all laying in a heap on the floor(he dropped it all on the floor when he went insane), you will find the King's Ring in his armor pile, use the King's Ring to open the sealed doors, there you will find more boss fights.Quote:

you need at least 4 to make it an easy fight for the king... getting the fifth soul would be to kill the Ancient Dragon which is the hardest boss in the game, who is also optional...

if you want to do his assassination quests, you must be hollow, not human form, and then you must talk to him for his quests and get magic/pyromancy rewards. if you open switch you are no longer able to do his quests.

sorry but dark souls 2 has playstation 2 budget anime combat and I want a game with realistic sword fighting and gameplay isn't worse than second life
use the ashe misten heart to enter giant memories, the memories are inside the forest of fallen giants, you can enter them there.Quote:

I stronlgy recommend you to play Dark Souls, it's based from NES hard and good design from classic retro games but 3D, not bad it's like N64, it's totally opposite to all modern games suck
