i just got a job as a cotnractor doing field service networking and stuff, and i ltierally dont know what half of the things they want me to have are, they already have a job for me on monday, andim scared, i have dione this stuff in theory but i dont know what half the stuff they are talking about even is, pls advise, i have bolded the terms i dont udnerstand, also where do i buy stuff like cisco console cables and USB to serial port adapters, would they have that at like Best buy or office max or whatever?!@? not sure it would arrive before monday if I order it now and the job is on Monday

Job is converting their existing Verizon T1 network to a Century Link MPLS T1 solution. The tech would need to be prepared with Cat5 cable in the event that a dmarc extension is needed. A laptop is also needed with terminal emulation software (Terra Term, Putty, etc.), cisco console cable & a USB to serial port adapter. Tech will also need a camera or camera phone for taking pictures as noted in the SOW.. I was wondering if you can cover and what travel you would need.
Please advise

read up on cisco commaonds everythign else should be straight forward

and if you are on windows, which i am betting you are use putty to connect

they will also most likely have a walk though on how to set it up, i would eamil him to see if there is one so you can familiarlize yourself with centurylink
