that's all I ever did either, but now it takes longer (hover in the lower right, click 'search', pick either app or setting). start menu or no start menu, the interface is shit, it puts more degrees of separation between me and what I want to do. even if I put an address bar in the taskbar and use that instead, half of my programs cover the taskbar and the 'lock the taskbar' button doesn't prevent that, because everything is supposed to run fullscreen in windows 8 which is a fucking stupid idea in itself, but the point is I am (at very least) one click further away from whatever I want than I was in win 7.Quote:
