I worked until last year this would be the first financial year (just past) where I haven't paid any tax so I won't get a tax return.

At your age I was living with my fiancé, half way through my first degree and working and paying my way, not still living with my mother and sponging off her which is even worse in your case steveyos because you seem to forgetting that you are in fact a full grown man and you've never even lifted a finger to help.
