the key to winning in yugioh was to have no other magic/trap cards besides counter cards (cards that could be quick-played to stop other people's magic/trap cards) and have a bunch of 4 star monsters with 1800 or 1900 attack power (the highest atk power possible for a monster that can be summoned on the first turn)
You'd win 9 out of 10 times because other players only ever had super rare/powerful cards that were extremely difficult to ever get into play, or very circumstantial cards.
For example, adding the 5 exodia pieces to your deck was a waste of deck space, because getting them all into play takes a minimum of 5 turns, and during that time your opponent is going to be stacking much more powerful cards and be blowing the shit out of you. Executing an Exodia auto-win only worked like 1 out of 100 games, and they were illegal in tournament games anyways
I was only 13/14 years old when I was playing Yu Gi Oh, so I have an excuse
>he thinks you had to play exodia on the field to make the effect work, and that it was illegal in tournies

i only always play with highest ATK monsters in level 4 stars
or get them all in your hand or whatever,
that's a waste of space in your hand anyways, and a waste of a draw
you might be getting your ass pounded and you go for a draw on your turn really needing something to help you, and you're like "shit, another exodia piece."
lmao nerds talking yu-g-oh
although i do play magic on the xbox and pretty much reign terror on shitty idiots except the gay as aids knight deck which is broken as fuck
playign xbox won't get you:

i never lost a game after learning the rules and building my deck the way i knew would work,
i had 3 of those ultra-rare 1900 atk power 4 star monsters in my deck,
i'd tear shit a part.
I never lost so don't you lecture me on yugioh with your gay effect monster cards that have shit attack power because they have some lame ass effect.
The way I look at it, no one card is going to make your deck good, at least in the first few generations of the cards.
3 man-eater bugs,
a bunch of 1800s/1900s,
a few 3000+ if you really think you'll ever get around to summoning them
a bunch of counter trap/magic
a relinquished which you will use when your opponent takes out some super monster with like 4000 attack (which i have found that other players will invariably have a few of in their deck)
and few +atk equipment cards for good measure
thats how you win nigga
probably relinquished
very common basic rare card that delivers consistent reliable results
man eater bugs, really? i just wipe my but and put it on the table
but depending on the house rules, relinquished would either be way too powerful or just shitty
like a cheap gold watch, these are the cards of our lives
rootbeer uses all type of bugs cards
