i miss laserdisc games... they are completely gone because the laserdisc they use breaks easily and apparently can't be swapped for a different one
there's gotta be a way to hack in a cd-rom, or a virtual disc image would probably be easier

looks like thats what the daphne emulator does, you can set it to use either the disc or individual video & sound files
i bet there's alot of junked cabinets that can be gutted out and have a cheap pc installed running daphne
