I'm not a big fan of ska but at least they don't try to play it off like they're the inheritors of the big band scene, the accept that they are their own individual genre and don't try to ape anyone else's culture or sound. greenday tells people they're punk, they're so totally not, they're everything the punk movement despised. it's like a gangster rapper wearing a kkk hood rapping about traditional values and respecting the police.
starting a forum band we'll make songs literally just for elz and call ourselvs the vibrations and we just play whatever instruments make the speakers vibrate the most
funny how stevey gave up defending greenday when he realized he's the only person over 15 who still listens to them
