in fact i have said on this forum before that if i was president i'd cut military spending by 100 billion a year and in my second term I'd cut a further 50-100 billion a year or more depending on the practical needs of the military. I'd like to get military spending down from 711 billion to 500 billion a year at the end of 8 years. still well above 2002 levels of military spending which were like 330 billion
