hardcore of a trekker to like the JJ Abrams movies?
I'll be sure to give it a chance. I feel the last movie lost the Star Trek essence. I couldn't get into or care about the main characters.
my friends all liked it because theyre star wars nerds, but i feel you, it definitely didnt have that same Trek feel, it was fantasy not scifi.
hmm i acutally have a dev confereance out in cali ,2 week after star trek opens cag, cag,,,, plz, watch jj ambarsn destory my childhood with me in imax3d
idk if i want to see it in 3d, they are converting it to 3d, tehy didnt shoot it in 3d and converted movies usually suck
they might not even have it in 3d where I am in my small town.

star trke is the only thing I want to see in imax, like batman in imax might be cool but i feel like whats the point in seeing a giant guy in a costume in huge fuckin screen, but ships and outerspace and stuff makes total sense for the format to me

i listened to it on audibbook at the gym, if you like audiobooks its actually one of the best audiobook productions ever done, it has a full cast and none of the narrators sound like huge fucking nerds that i want to punch in the face, the guy who vvoiced Colonel Graff even sounds kind of like Cmdr Riker (its not jonathan frakes though I looked it up)Quote:

it was separated into 107 mp3s so it was super easy to kep my place, but ive had a few that were like 60 minute long "discs" mp3s which is gay as fuck, but if i started thinking about other stuff i would just skip back to the beginning.

hmm I wonder if getting caught is part of the genius villains plan to escape and trigger an extremely convoluted series of events to bring down the system he's disenfranchised with like the joker/bane/loki/raoul silva/raul menendez/moriarty/anders breivik seems like a very original plot that has definitely not been done to death in the last five years
