LoL fucking sucks, DotA has been around for about 8 years before LoL and DotA 2 has way more complexity and depth to it, and hero uniqueness

as the wc3 engine became more and more dated but players in the hundreds of thousands still logged in to play dota 2, devs sought to bring dota 2 to a newer engine.. one of the first of these was heroes of newerth, which is a dota clone with a few slight annoying differences. Then there's LoL which is incredibly simplified, and then there's Dota2 - the game mechanics are the exact same more or less as DotA 1 with a different UI and shit
