I want to buy a truck but I can't decide on one

second I'm not trying to break the bank so I've set a 10k limit for myself.
third I'm not a millionaire so I don't want to spend 100000 dollars in a gas every day so I'm not getting a V8

I'm looking at frontiers, f150s, and tacomas, but I can't decide between a 4 door with a short bed, or a smaller extended cab and a 6 foot bed.

So I was thinking about getting an SUV but a truck bed is necessary since I carry a chainsaw and fuel around I can't have that shit rattling around in the cab with me, fuel fumes are bad for you.
I generally only have one other person riding with me at a time, but occasionally I have two or three friends with me, which is why I was thinking about the 4 door.
the truck bed length issue if because I don't normally carry a LOT of stuff, but I kind of want the longer bed in case I ever am driving cross country and just want to sleep in the bed instead of getting a hotel room.
off roading not super intense, but I usually drive around on forest service roads that aren't always maintained to the highest standards

I would really look into the sport trac, mine's bed was small but had a cage extender so I didn't have any problems fitting anything into it, and the cab is full size four door, it's like a ford explorer, but a truck,,,,,, it rule but it's a ford so ya know watch those electronics
