your computer shouldnt be so close to the edge of overheating that thermal paste is the culprit. especially considering that all cpu's come shipped with a minimum amount of high plasticity paste already on them.

obviosuly it depends on what your rig is used for, my cpu temps are going whacky so im about to go clean off the old and put in new...

check your vibrator resonance, defintiely sounds like a vibrator resonance problem

yea i opened it up and there was almost no thermal paste there, was quick to wipe the bits left and i applied a layer of arctic silver 5, im guessing thats the best on the market since its the only one i could find made in america...

also running 2x gtx 560 TI's factory overclocked from gigabyte, kind of shitty having a 1200 watt power supply though because if you want to upgrade to a single card youre gonna have so much fucking overhead on that output, thank god having 2 gpus is lasting me so long
