If I don't tell him that I used vegetables, he will eat it. If I do, he refuses to eat. It is unbearable. I think he probably has some traumatic memory with eating vegetables and getting sick, though. He is averse to them because he says they make him throw up.

I kinda got it around 13, but I was just being a 'depressed' teenager. After I became happier in highschool, I fell for her manipulations again until I was 17. Until that point, all my close friends were narcs, so I thought everything was normal. I began hanging out with actually normal families and saw how different things were.
I always shudder to think she almost had me. I would have never found out I was adopted, or met my sisters and dad. I would have never questioned her lies or manipulation. It's still to close for comfort. But I got out at midnight on my 18th birthday, and stayed with the family that showed me what real parents are like.
