10-10-2013the $100 they're offering you is a free credit on the card itself. the expectation is that you'll use the card for something more expensive than that to save $100 on the price of it
credit cards aren't evil barry and you're probably better off with one from your bank than from some card company you have no transaction history with

10-10-2013credit cards are necessary to rent cars and book accommodations, just pay your balance in full every month (never late). This will build a credit history for your future needs. Getting a card from your bank is sound advice.
example: Lisa got shit canned by her credit cards and can only purchase with a debit card - lisa is a fucking skank loser for life.

You can use a debit card exactly the same as a credit card you half-wit the only difference is you use YOUR OWN MONEY and not borrow it and have to pay interest. And so when I paid off my last credit card I closed it and got a debit card.
