the only remaining comfort i have is that no matter what they try to do, no matter how much they squirm and try to buy their way out of it, there is nothing that they can do to avoid the long lonely and painful path towards inevitable death that lies ahead of them. No one can escape that; and for people like them where no interaction with other people is ever real, it is all the harder to face
