JUNIOR IT SUPPORT ANALYST - PR/COMMS AGENCY ($50K-$60K inc super)

Hausmann Communications is an independent PR/Communications agency specialising in large consumer brands. With around 50 people currently (and growing) we have a (newly created) need for a junior IT person to support our on-site IT Manager.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an adaptable and flexible budding IT guru to work in a creative and fun environment in our wonderful Paddington offices in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. You’ll be under the wing – and personally trained by – our long-standing IT head honcho who is keen to scale back on trying to be all things to all people. He will personally train this person and happily identify external training modules they can attend to up skill and ultimately reach their full potential. We are happy to invest in appropriate training on behalf of this person.
We celebrate our 25th anniversary next year confirming our position as one of Australia’s most successful, largest and longest-standing PR agencies. This role promises a unique environment in a culture with a collaborative and creative vibe. Some of the (relevant/techy) brands we represent include Sony, Nickelodeon, Amaysim, DUV and this person will have access/exposure to new trends and technology – right at their fingertips!
Tasks:
• Manage and take ownership of support requests via IT ticketing system.
• Be an expert in our systems in order to provide superior support (training/mentor provided).
• Identify trends in support requests, assess opportunities for better systems/processes/training.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Mac OS – desktop and notebook computers.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot tablets and mobile hardware (iOS, Android, & Windows).
• Install and configure software and apply updates.
• Administer a Microsoft server environment (training/mentoring provided).
• Set up and configure printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
• Maintain and troubleshoot video conference, telephony & media centre facilities in boardrooms.
• Document issue resolution – build FAQ’s – recommendations and document internal policies & procedures.
• Maintain inventory of all hardware and software resources and parts.
• Maintain excellent communication with all end users.
• Team player attitude.
• Work with outside vendors as needed.
• Execute other IT assigned tasks as delegated.
Personal attributes:
• Flexibility to learn and participate with a fast moving business with varied and changing needs and wants. Short deadlines and just now solutions are common.
• Genuine interest/passion in technology and the drive to deliver outcomes.
• Participate with technology teams on product testing and brainstorming for various brands.
• Be proactive, patient, and adaptable.
• Work well under pressure.
• Willing to travel, occasionally.
• Driver’s license and vehicle desirable.
• A “can do” attitude, but also mindful of what is deliverable. Maintain expectations.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to help and make a positive difference to busy teams.
Experience:
• At least 1 year experience in a tech support role.
• Some formal “entry level” IT training. Preferably with Microsoft.
• Interested in MCSE qualification and further development.
• Some Mac OSX/iOS experience.
• Some Android experience very desirable.
• Basic networking knowledge. TCPIP/Switches/Internet (training/mentoring supplied)
