So back in like the early 90s saddam hussein was like "i want kuwait, then ill have an ocean coast and shit, i think ill take it"
So, the united states went in to stop him. We protected kuwait but left saddam in power or something for whatever reason
Come 2003: Basically out of the blue, George Bush Junior and his administration decide that we should go back to iraq and kick saddam out of power.
The collateral damage over the years folliwing the invasion and occupation by the US is absolutely staggering. Basically if you think of it like a video game, for every one enemy combatant we took out, we also accidentally took out 10 to 100 civilians.
Because of that, many people living in the region are pissed off and decide to become rebels.
Now, the US goes in for round 3 with the intention of stomping out sparks before it becomes a fire,
