sure a sheeple like you read philosophy just to completely absorb someone else's point of view but that is not actually what philosophy is for

it's to make you think in a logical and critical way, if you can't critique it then you've missed the point

someone like you reads philosophy and bends and simply follows to whatever way of thinking is laid out for you

someone like me reads philososphy and can deeply consider the logic and critique it, if you cannot find a fundamental flaw even within the greatest of philosphies then you have failed to understand what thinking is actually required to even understand philosophy let alone have the skills to be able to participate and further the ongoing intellectual discussion that is philosophy

I got high distinctions in philosophy because I understand that any great idea, if it is to be given any creedence at all, must be completely deconstructed and picked apart, all flaws fundamental and otherwise brought back up to be re-discussed, analysed and addressed

a philosophy that cannot stand up to that is no philosophy at all

if you are unable to do that then philosophy is not the game for you

if you can only parrot something then you are not capable of an actual philisophical discussion, let alone any real understanding of it

only philo i took was philsophy of science and philosophy of the mind. lots of descarte, turing, chomsky. i wouldn't even call them philosophers they're basically scientists
