FYI - Most people who voted for Trump don't give a fuck about marriage equality or rights for gays in general, and a large portion voted for him hoping he'd do exactly this kind of shit.
See, those are the people who think homosexuality is a choice. They think that these people don't deserve the same rights as heterosexuals because they could just choose to be straight and enjoy the same rights straight people.
This is why they'll tell you civil rights for minorities are different than civil rights for homosexuals.
Luckily the Supreme Court ruled that homosexuality is not a choice, and that these Americans deserved the same rights as other Americans.
Unfortunately Trump will likely be naming three SC justices during this next term that oppose gay rights, and it will be sad day for this country if the recent ruling is overturned.
