If I really wanted to keep it secret I'd make a password protected zip or an encrypted dmg image but no matter what if my girlfriend wanted to use my computer to check her facebook on my computer she would be doing it under her own user account

they can be recovered with volume shadow copies. also, your girlfriend should never see your password protected zip because she should have her own user account which is not an administrator.
