I on the other hand I'm not a crook, I've held a security clearance for a couple years now. I'm a good guy. When I was out of work for over a year (and not receiving public assistance either) I still volunteered, mostly just as a chance to meet more people and network for opportunities - not that it didn't feel good to spend time helping total strangers for free from starving to death.
