i never lost a game after learning the rules and building my deck the way i knew would work,
i had 3 of those ultra-rare 1900 atk power 4 star monsters in my deck,
i'd tear shit a part.
I never lost so don't you lecture me on yugioh with your gay effect monster cards that have shit attack power because they have some lame ass effect.
The way I look at it, no one card is going to make your deck good, at least in the first few generations of the cards.
3 man-eater bugs,
a bunch of 1800s/1900s,
a few 3000+ if you really think you'll ever get around to summoning them
a bunch of counter trap/magic
a relinquished which you will use when your opponent takes out some super monster with like 4000 attack (which i have found that other players will invariably have a few of in their deck)
and few +atk equipment cards for good measure
thats how you win nigga

but depending on the house rules, relinquished would either be way too powerful or just shitty

anyways, managing to play relinquished just turned into an argument of whether or not relinquished is destroyed by cards such as man eater bug, or whether any equipment on the opponent's monster was also transferred to relinquished

no there was a 2 week period where me and a few of my nerd friends took adderall and dug out our old magic cards and re-learned all the rules and bought some new cards and went to a local tournament, my friend got second place because of his scute mob and some other overpowered forest creature that was unbeatable
just because you buy cards and look at them and caress them in your room by yourself but are too antisocial to go to a tournament does not qualify you as being knowledgeable about the game

i remember back in the day when managing to get a 10/10 or even a 9/9 out on the field was impressive. This was in the late 90s before you generation Zers got your shamelessly overpowered new generation cards
