Hm. Well, I can say this: u can judge quality of a show that usually varies wildly in quality by the season, by a handful of episodes. For instance: take a look at all the recent eps of le Simpsons. Clearly every episode of the simpsons is trash because the last five seasons or whatever have been trash.

I'd like to think my sampling of king of the hill was pretty comprehensive, I still catch it occasionally if it's on after something good and I don't feel like changing the channel. It's not something I absolutely hate and can't watch, but it's not funny by any stretch of the imagination.
