i signed up for Dota2 on steam how long does it take for them to decide whether or not i'm worthy to play it or not

i've been playing heroes of newerth for now (normally i'd play dota 1 on warcraft 3 but i reinstalled my OS and lost the wc3 installation discs) which is essentially just dota1 but they renamed all the items and heroes, and made all the overpowered heroes from dota1 suck ass

how does dota2 compare to dota1?
whats league of legends like?

i'm just trying to find something interesting right now to ignore the fact that my brain is basically fried at the moment; if i can distract myself with something interesting it helps my brain heal faster or something it seems like

runescape is way too time consuming for me right now when i'm at a period in my life when i need to get shit together. I basically have to get a job and find a place to live by the end of the month, so I don't have time to play a game where it takes 10 hours of game time to level a skill once

and why spend hours of arduous grinding getting a skill to 99 when jagex is just going to make that skill easier to level in a few months with a new update because jagex is now owned by some jewish american company that doesn't care about preserving the integrity of the game and only cares about making money

Runescape has been dead to me for years. They took out the simpleness of the game and now you have to level your skills in specific ways that seem dumb and arbitrary; there is no more variation or creativity anymore. Everyone's a way higher level than me either because they botted or they've been playing runescape non stop for the past 6 years.
In order to get up to par, I'd have to spend like 20 days of gametime

just play it when you do have the time. also you can just do a farm run once a day and kingdom of miscelana and tears of guthix once a week you will still end up with a nice character i did that for a year or so.
