you're right, at the very beginning that "it's up to you, bro" message asking to be accepted really epitomized his try-hard attitude.

the one that sticks with me was the 4chan picture of some old horror movie guy with the caption "HAVE YOU EVER SAW A DICK" I was like seriously he saw that and thought it was funny and in fact funny enough to use an avatar what the fuck happened to this kid's sense of humor but he's really shown a lot of improvement since then and I consider it one of my greatest accomplishments
