A lot of tool songs especially, there's long sections where the guitarist is doing nothing but adding little nuances here and there every 10 seconds or so; I'm not going to sit and play you a 7 minute long song, that's boring as fuck..

yeah tool in general is boring as fuck maybe you should learn some songs that require actual skill on the guitar, try some lynyrd skynyrd you dont need drums for that, or the eagles, maybe a little david allen coe? john denver? oh oh what about like hair band shit motley crue?
