The GUI and the CLI both have their places, and the most effective way to use these machines is to utilize a combination of both. Anyone who only uses the GUI shouldn't go standing up on pedestals pretending to be an authority on how "smart" people use computers. He's a gigantic hypocrite.
"Windows 8 is oversimplified" is a stupid argument. If anything it's more complicated. If you're in the desktop, you have to move your mouse to a special hidden corner to bring up the control panel or shut it down. There's no button, no sign, you're supposed to just know that. One of the main reasons I recommend my customers avoid Windows 8 is because I don't want to bill them a million hours when they're calling me asking how the fuck to do anything. It's not dumbed down, it's not intuitive, it's change for the sake of change it's clunky and it's shit. Plug Drugs knows Win 8 sucks, but he's ass-backwards on the "why?" and he looks like a jackass right now.Last edited by maks; 07-02-2013 at 12:12 PM.

No you didn't; the burden of proof is now on you to prove that Windows 8 is more efficient.
You've already admitted that getting users accustomed to a GUI separates them from the DOS-esque level of intelligence a user has about their operating system, now you have to explain to us why Windows 8 does this less than Windows 7

Because ALL you've claimed so far is that you know how to use DOS and for some reason that means you're right
