    sort of. if they just wanted to simplify it they would have hardcore ripped off the iphone, ios is about as simple as you can get, you can even talk to the damn thing. Windows 8 is just an advertisement for Windows Mobile and Windows RT, they used their position in the desktop market to "get people used to" their daffy tiles so they'd be more inclined to go out and buy the surface or the new windows phone. The whole OS is essentially one big advertisement.

    i wouldn't have learned anything about DOS if i didnt have to port forward my router and set up a static IP to host warcraft 3 games back in 2003
    how many touch phones have a command line interface?

    anyways what i'm saying is, putting users in an environment where they're more apt to use DOS is good for the computer world as a whole

    really? I havent messed around with too many smart phones, but i have an android with a broken screen that i only got to use for 3 days, and the new screen is coming in tomorrow
