Actually, some companies dont upload their games to pirate bay, they developed a system to compare .EXE file size, if is cracked, it changes file size, then it's pirated, It happened when I pirated The Sims 2, I cant build new houses. However, I returned to original .EXE and mount an image of The Sims 2 with Daemon tools, It worked and I can build stuffs, even is not pirated game.

One developer can create his own game without budget, but it costs time.

Companies can invest million of dollars to develop AAA games which has a lot of features. Actually big companies are jealous to indie developers because they make a lot of money without paying the salaries.

i think the reason why most people hate the call of duty games is because they've released the same game now 5 times with only slight differences, and keep charging people another 70 bucks or whatever
they're milking the player base

and that being said, i can't imagine how any game could cost 85 million to make..
that must include marketing, or outsourcing for things like the physics engine
i mean, there are so many unemployed "game developers" out there right now, get a team of 100 of them and pay them a 50 grand salary, and that's only 5 million
as far as the resources needed to actually make the game, nothing about it cost 85 million..
i mean, a group of people could make a game that's just as sophisticated in their free time if they were really dedicated to it
