no because open source is always behind the curve by like 10 years. what we need is open source projects with corporate backing, which is what we have in osx. apple pretty much owns the CUPS project that every single linux distro is using right now for its printing

those were made in 2002 and 2003, and they're still better than any other shit you can find. I tried looking for a graphic calculator app on my phone and they were all complete shit compared to that one
