ok don't worry evne with a new character you can still win every match unless you go against people who ranked really really high up and have the stuff that kills in one bullet and super armor but you tuypically don't get matched against them unless you're like me and you do so fucking good against people with similiar gear to you that you get gold threat and get put against those people even though you don't have their gear unlocked yet and I fucking hate it but at the same time even when I go against people with hella better gear unless they have the rock to my scissors, the scissors to my paper, or the paper to my rock, I fucking destroy them regardless cuase 1.
