one time at this bar that had lingerie night with some really skanky bitches one skank kept hassling me to buy raffle tickets for her undies so i went to the jukebox and played neil diamonds coming to america 10x in a row and cleared the place out, then i left laughing my ass off.

also my song choices from that era are rather scattered because every band in the 70s produced like 12 albums in that decade and frankly i dont have the patience to sort through all that noise

I've never been much for prog rock (too artsy) but I gave these guys a try and I must say I'm really impressed. they're all incredibly gifted musicians, each track on the album feels like one step in a journey, it's like admiring a fine piece of art there's always some new element revealed with each additional listening.

I'm not usually one to focus on the lyrics, but there's still nothing quite like a song that tells a compelling story. this gem reads like a poem or a parable but with a few clever rhymes and a catchy tune they successfully translated it into one of the greatest folk rock songs of all time. If the singer isn't your cup of tea don't forget to check out Bob Dylan's cover version, performed live acoustically at the 1973 benefit concert for people who sound like bob dylan.
