the shitty ui is a bi fucking deal, it's going to interfere with pretty much everything you want to do unless you're one of those dipshits who has 8000 shortcuts on his desktop in which case you have shitty computing habits to begin with

wtf do you even need a start menu for, JUST GET OVER IT, LET IT GO, LET THE START MENU GO, ITS NOT NECESSARY ANYMORE

I have 1420412 different ways to access my files, ALL I EVER USED THE START MENU BEFORE was to go to START > RUN and type in what I want to run. I CAN STILL DO ThaT TOO

that's all I ever did either, but now it takes longer (hover in the lower right, click 'search', pick either app or setting). start menu or no start menu, the interface is shit, it puts more degrees of separation between me and what I want to do. even if I put an address bar in the taskbar and use that instead, half of my programs cover the taskbar and the 'lock the taskbar' button doesn't prevent that, because everything is supposed to run fullscreen in windows 8 which is a fucking stupid idea in itself, but the point is I am (at very least) one click further away from whatever I want than I was in win 7.
