norton is so terrible that I disabled the router and windows firewall and STILL got nat problems fuck you belkin stupid

static ip with forwarded ports didn't work either

thankfully just turning off the rotuers firewall makes second life work properly if I needed to plug my modem directly in to play SL my mom would never get to watch netflix

is your modem just a modem or does it have a router built in if it's also a router then you're nated twice and you have to set up port forwarding on both devices
