That's just my opinion and the previous system was pretty bad. Went to my doctor last year (when I had anthem blue cross) and he asked me if I'd like some information on quitting smoking, I said yes and he gave me a pamphlet. That stupid pamphlet cost me a hundred dollars. Under the previous healthcare system, doctors are nothing more than glorified salesmen.

americas current healthcare system is trash (good luck getting a root canal or an extraction if youre poor lmao) but the problem is obamacare doesnt actually fix any of this - prices will still be ridiculously inflated, youre still paying a shitload of money for healthcare and your health is still in the hands of a shitty insurance company. the only good thing obamacare does is get rid of preexisting conditions and make it so insurance companies cant drop you when you get sick.

generally speaking if insurer costs go up so too will premiums, however that's not guaranteed unless there is a concerted effort on the part of insurance companies to cooperate on their prices (which would be illegal). i can say tho that the current obamacare premiums, with tax credits, are well below what id personally have to pay for an individual plan in texas. so thanks obama,,,

insurance is a giant scam. if the majority of covered people weren't paying more in premiums/deductibles/gotchas than they receive in medical services, then insurance wouldn't turn a profit.

the problem is that americans have only two options - get insured, or get bankrupted by an emergent serious illness or injury
if you do need an expensive procedure there is the third option of going overseas for it, but that doesn't really work for an emergency
