install one program, point it at your share where all your torrents download to. yes you're right that's incredibly complicated

plex is just xbmc with a server built in

ya u littlerly turn it on and it does everything, it's idoit proof, installing it on pi is making a sd card etc etc

doesn't have to be a rasberry pi that's just the cheapest way to do it. I run it on my mac mini

and it allready has a remote, it's 10 times faster to set up, and u get 1000 other channels and used ones are cheaper than the pi

it's one install for windows u click install, point to your media folder that's it, i tested 20 different dnla media servers plex and rokuo is def the most plug and play,

I'm actually going to be forced to set up a plex media server for my mom, you see I bought her an apple tv for christmas assuming that the jailbreak was coming soon and I could install xmbc well that never happened so I have to use plex media server and point its dns at the plex box so she can use the built in trailers app. I should have gotten her a rasberry pi would have saved myself like $150
