    it's not stupidity, it's willful ignorance born out of desperation. I'm a giant nerd, so growing up I hung out with other giant nerds, and sometimes one of them would meet a huge whore who (gasp!) let him touch her vagina, and it always played out exactly like the plug drugs situation did - 1. she brainwashes him and alienates him from his friends 2. with no one left but her he becomes unbearably clingy 3. she starts to move away from him because he's creeping her out 4. he goes full blown stalker
