Tell you what. Corporations, you can go ahead and have at the whole dystopia thing as long as you give me and all my fellow junkies all the drugs we want.
Actually I think that might have been their plan with methadone but it turns out that having a bunch of heavyweight junkies that feel impervious to pain and have an utter contempt for the system isn't exactly in the best interest of a government trying to run a dystopia.
It's a bummer, the whole "keep the population physically dependent on narcotics in order to control them" theme for a dystopia had such a nice ring to it.
