In highschool I had the grouchiest, most angry bus driver I'd ever had. Our bus driver the year before was a wonderful older lady who was always the first one there, let us do whatever we wanted, and was generally nice. He was always one of the last 3 busses, made us sit boys on one side girls on the other, almost got a girl suspended from the bus for asking a friend for a tampon, and made us whisper. He also texted while he was driving. He drove us for 2 years, then when he left and his mother took over his route. She didn't say much, which was an improvement at least.

So, the older lady was an awesome bus driver because she just tuned everything out. He couldn't handle not being in control of everyone and blew a gasket. His mom tuned everyone out and was a good driver.
